We have a toilet (and other exciting news)!
Have you heard our exciting news? We have expanded our P&P empire and now have two shops on beautiful Aberdour High Street! Just a few doors along from our original wee shop you will find our gorgeous new P&P Delicatessen that is at least 3 times larger with storage, a prep kitchen and (most exciting of all) our very own toilet. [Sidenote: were you aware that every time we needed a “comfort break” over the past 5 years we’ve had to use the facilities in our neighbouring cafes and pubs or we had to quite literally run home! Hooray for our own loo!]
In our new deli you will find a massive cheese counter overflowing with fresh olives, antipasti, baked treats and cheese from the famous I.J. Mellis Cheesemonger of Edinburgh. On Tuesdays and Fridays we have deliveries of fresh baked sourdough breads and an array of pastries from Wild Hearth Bakery and on Thursdays we get in the undeniably delicious loaves and buns from Sunrise Bakehouse. Our fridge is bigger too and we’ve stocked it to the brim with an interesting selection of locally crafted and continental charcuterie, ham and bacon from Puddledub and meats, sausages and pies from Tom Courts Butchers. We even have a Re-fill corner where you can fill up your containers with rice, pasta, cereals, coffee beans and more. And don’t forget our fancy smancy new coffee machine! We use the artisan roasted Black Rock Blend Coffee from The Roasting Project in Burntisland to make your favourite flat whites and lattes (we even have a Coffee Corner where you can perch for a spell and watch the world go by) . Our luxury hot chocolate is courtesy of Pittenweem Chocolate Co, and it makes THE BEST cocoa and mochas around!
Over time our deli will be offering freshly made sandwiches, salads, sushi and takeaway meals for all the family to enjoy (lasagne anyone?), but for now our focus is most definitely on CHRISTMAS! We are already taking orders for Christmas Hampers and, with more delicious foodie gifts to choose from than ever before, we have the scope to curate luxury gift hampers to suit any taste and any budget. Hampers can be collected from the deli or posted worldwide. Orders can be placed via or website or you can contact us directly and we’ll make up something special just for you.
You can pre-order your Christmas cheese and other festive treats by filling out our Christmas Order Form. This will ensure you receive everything you need for a delicious Christmas and Hogmanay.
Not forgetting our little Post Office; it has a new lease of life as a Stationers. There you will find a unique selection of cards, stationary, journals, writing sets, eco gift wrap, fun gifts and all the usual Post Office services you would expect. Don’t forget the Post Office also acts as your local bank, allowing you to deposit and withdraw cash and pay-in cheques. Christmas stamps are now available too!
